Great event, period. I really expected to come in last anyways, as I was the only one without a full bush suit. I really just wanted to see where I was on the sneaky side of things in a controlled environment so I can find out where to improve. I must say, however, if you have any aspirations to be a sniper, you should not think about how you scored in the event, but more along the lines of if crawling around for hours is really your thing. For me, aspirations of becoming the super sneaky sniper are totally blown away due to the fact that I would like to be able to move the next day without a crap load of aches and pains through my entire body. I got sticks jammed in places I didn't know sticks could get jammed, and the brambles just irritated the shit out of me.

Thanks for the eye opener BSP, I will probably run the urban one as well (if I am still in OR at that time), just for shits, as well as any trainings I can attend on the subject matter.

QFT. In the middle of the first stalk I felt pain in my eye. I thought it was maybe my face paint sweating into my eye. When we met for dinner afterwards I felt it again. I reached in to clear my eye and some how a pod from a wheat stock had jammed in the corner of my eye. This happened even though I was wearing my glasses.

I think you guys did really well. Omega, you did an exceptional job...you were wearing fatigues...not a bush suit!

Sound discipline is the biggest area for improvement. Marksmanship comes with familiarity of your weapon. Most of you guys were using borrowed weapons, or were trying to shoot from too far out.

You all have the skills to get close, but noise was the biggest factor on catching most of you.

Great read Ka-Bar.

It was Amos that got the hit on the target. He got it on the first stalk. To bad his scope mount lost a screw that day.

I forgot to mention, thanks Josh and Pat for coming out and being the walkers and spotters. It was great watching you guys look for one of us and be no where near us.

My favorite though was on the first stalk. When Pat guided Josh to me. I heard Pat saying on the radio "I see him right there. Make sure you don't step on the f**ker." I got my card punched and restarted.
