I'm sure you can state your opinion; hence why this is a forum. Terror, I think the way you stated your opinion was more of an attack than an a respectable opinon. I'm sure at events you host you can have a higher FPS limit but AP has set a good/safe ground work for the airsoft community and the standards they set work. You can always downgrade your weapon. Don't disrespect everyone in this community by stating we're all afraid because we follow a good set of rules...thats not very mature.

first of all i will apologize if my initial statement sounded like an attack, it wasn't meant to be. i am used to dealing with thicker skins. and mike, the standards are good but do not work if not enforced, which is a huge problem most have had before.i am just not afraid to have and state an opinion that is different than a.p. unlike many many of the community here. if it is said on these forums and the right small handful of guys agrees than most will jump on that bandwagon. it is more of a popularity contest than true opinions. of course i in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM speak for the man but i think ooyha may understand my position. i have seen him have the same problems as i am experiencing now. and for niall sorry to post this shit here my fault. no worries i am out.

Good example what I was talking about...thats not really necessary but anyway,

As far the standards being enforced, chronos help however the base, underying rule in airsoft is honesty and trust. We really shouldn't have to police all the standards. If people want to play airsoft then lets be honest and fair and have a good time. I'm aware people might try to push and bend the "rules" but if they do they don't have any business playing. Again these standards only are for AP games. AP is just a community bullitin board (in my opinion) were we can share our views and reach a larger audience. If you want to host a game you can link to your site which would have detail and that states the rules you play by and people can decide to join or not.

You could have PM'd those individual that had "too hot" weapons instead of posting in that one thread.

I like the current standards as is but don't think your opinion of higher fps limit is not vaild either. I just think the way this was brought up was just bad.

The last OP we had with absolutely no chrono enforcement was a long time ago. Sure, we should do it at every skirmish, but it's not always possible. My goal would be to have a test range and chrono at every game no matter what the size, eventually we'll be at that point.

we can all agree that it is "suppossed" to be an honor driven game. My opinion is that most of the teams are honorable(yours included msawiel), but what about the other 65-75 percent of the "players" that aren't?what about the asshats that consistently ruin the experience for the rest of us? there are even some "airsoft veterans" who could care less about the games honor and more for their own ego.

for my team any one of them is more than welcome to play at your ops/skirm/events. but not in an official team terror capacity.

lets squash this thread as it is just rehashing the same played out thoughts and not helping anyone of us at all.

Cheaters will always be cheaters, increasing FPS limits will not promote people to call out. They will just get tougher skin and more elaborate with their lies. I.E. Jim Sharp.

I second Dantes and Hillbilly's line of thought concerning higher FPS limits.

1. Insurability
2. Unnecessary Player Risk
3. Not a cheating deterrent

Those are strong arguments.

As for stating opinions on these boards:

Promoting unsafe (to this communities way of thinking) gaming isnt going to be popular, just like horse porn. Everyone has an opinion, cept' not everyone agrees.
