Discussion about sniper rifles or bolt-action.

Is this a good sniper? :D

Was searching for a good stock/custom sniper RIFLE for the past couple months, to no avail.

Except after looking here, I found this!

I own one. Can be made into a very decent bolt action replica. Not sure I would pay that much for a used one seeing as I'm pretty sure you can get them new for less.

A sniper is the name of a marksman. If you buy a sniper that's slavery or he/she is a mercenary. Sniper rifle is a whole different story.

$140 isn't a good price for a used one.

Would I be better off buying the gun posted by Variable and upgrading it?

I'm new to airsoft sniping, so I don't know how difficult is to upgrade.

Also, 140 isn't good for a used one, but it also comes with a scope. Still shouldn't cost that much though I suppose.

WTF you trying to say? A sniper is a highly trained member of a Military like Marines, Army Etc yes they are marksmen. There training is a little more detailed Wiki Sniper and Read up please I've beening reading up on Sniping Since I was 17.

Why do say many people simply call it a sniper? You don't call an assault rifle simply an assault, or a rocket/grenade launcher a rocket/grenade.

He's saying, correctly, that a sniper is fundamentally a marksman. Yes, they are much better trained than your average DM, but they are a marksman nonetheless.

And considering that I could read Mattman's post once and understand what he is saying, yet it took me 3 times to read and understand what you were trying to say, I'm willing to back the person that I can understand easier and who takes advantage of a full keyboard and built in spell check.

Aww :D

Edit: Fortunately I don't need to resort to the build in spell check :)

Double post, my apologies.

Yes, I agree. Snipers are above average in the marksmanship department. What kind of weapon does a sniper use to kill his target? A sniper? No. A sniper RIFLE.

When you call a sniper rifle a sniper, you sound like someone who has played too much Call of Duty.
