My "weak" gun shoots at 430 FPS, will that be ok for the skirmish. My other gun shoots at 450. Been playing alot in California, they seem to have higher limits, lots of guns 450 plus. Decided to upgrade in order to survive down here. The upside is that I had an opportunity to play with some Marines from 29 Palms up in the mountains (6000 ft. elevation), what a sweet game that was.

AP rules are that all AEGs are 400fps with a .20g bb or less.

Knowing that and saying you will bring it to a game is a good way to get banned from all games in this area.

You may want to look over the rules.

http://www.airsoftpacific.com/content.php?page=2
Fully/Semi Automatics - 400 fps (1.5j)
CQB/Indoor - All under 300 fps (0.8j)
Sniper Rifles (Bolt Action ONLY) - 550 FPS (2.8j)
*Limits Measured with .20g B

to vulcan, bait and others who have problems with making the fps limits that are required... pm me, we have quite a few guys(30-40) who play around here but arent afraid of using weapons that allow for added realism. if your gun only shoots so far then where is the realism?

Well then, f**k Airsoft, let's shoot real bullets. That would be EXTREME!

I don't see why everybody has to bitch about a 400 fps limit, we compared FPS limits of organizations all around the world before coming up with that as a base limit. Some groups only allow 350. In the UK the overall limit is 1j (328 fps with .20g) for EVERYONE. A few US groups are in the 400 fps with .25 range, which isn't much higher. We use these limits so that if our avid players in this community want to play at a large OP in some other state, it's VERY likely they'll be within the limits for those organizations.

"Afraid" to play with higher FPS limits isn't the issue, it's fear of creating more potential for injury that will give Airsoft a bad name and get it banned. Or make it so that no underwriter will EVER consider insuring Airsoft. How's that for realism? You can't own an Airsoft replica, so you'll have to buy a real gun and shoot cans and old computer monitors in your backyard. You'd have to start posting on AR15.com about your cool guns (that you can't shoot at people).

If you're new, I wouldn't take this advice to heart, 80% of Airsoft in the United States is under 400 fps with .20g.

you see i cant even state my opinion anymore. i have taken way more abuse and injury from the fields themselves than any hit from an airsoft replica

you're free to state your opinion all you want, be prepared for others to do the same.

No one's saying you can't state your opinion - unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure you just stated your opinion. Just understand that others will state theirs, and that those opinions may not align with yours.

Yes, but here's a fact: You're hi-jacking a thread and rallying people to attend your (unsafe) games. Why not promote them on your own website? I don't want anything to do with it, thanks.

In the case of the field we are discussing in this thread, AP Rules are clearly stated to be the standard. If you do not agree with the standard it would be best to create a separate thread for a discussion of the rules or take it up in private with the person that set that standard.

This thread is for a specific event. As someone who has been asked and has agreed to be an Admin for this event, I WILL assist in enforcing these rules, agree or not.
